More Information on Sea Leads

Depending on where you are from and how long you have been fishing weights can be called sea fishing leads, sinkers, or weights.  They are all different shapes and sizes and all do a slightly different job.

Grip leads for beach fishing have evolved, a lot of rigs now come made to be used with the Breakaway Impact lead, the bait clip function on these leads is fantastic, keeping your baits tidy and aerodynamic to improve your bait presentation and distance when casting.

When you are fishing for Plaice, you sometimes need to get the baits moving in a controlled way, so this is what the Continental Impact lead was designed for.

Another interesting design is the Tronixpro Bait Capsule these can be loaded with bigger baits or for instance, if you want to fish a head hooked ragworm at distance, this is the way to go.

In the boat simply by going up or down a lead size can instantly bring on the bites, especially for fish like Black Bream, where you are trying to present the bait in a natural way. Our favourite shop lead in the boat is the Pear Lead.

As you can see there are many tricks you can use with your leads to generate more bites, for more information, please get in touch as we would love to hear from you hopefully give you a few more ways to catch more fish
