Matching Rod To Method

Deadbaiting at range wants a rod with some backbone — around 2.75lb to 3.25lb test curve handles a big bait and a lead and still sets a treble at distance. Lure fishing is a different job entirely: a rod rated for the lures you actually throw, so you can work them properly all day without your arm giving up. Perch and light zander fishing sits lighter still and is enormous fun on the right rod. Tell us the waters you fish and how you like to fish them and we’ll sort you out.
