Netting Bass On Your Own

Most lure fishing is done alone, often stood on rocks or in the water, so a net you can work one-handed makes a real difference. A rubber or coated mesh is the one to have: a treble goes through knotted netting and takes ten minutes to pick out, usually while a good fish is thrashing about. A folding or telescopic handle clipped to your pack keeps your hands free and stops it snagging on everything as you move between marks. Rinse it off after a session in salt and it’ll keep working for years.
