Presentation Is Everything

Presentation is what changes a slow day into a good one. On a stillwater in summer you’ll often do better with a light hooklength and a small hook fished just off bottom, while in coloured water after rain a bigger bait and a stronger line makes sense. Feeder choice matters too — an open-end feeder puts groundbait right on the spot, a maggot feeder trickles bait out slowly, and a method feeder presents a short hooklength in the middle of a pile of food.
