Stoves, gas, kettles, cook sets, pans and mugs for the bank. On a 48 hour session your cooking kit gets as much use as your rods, and a proper brew at first light is part of the whole business.

Cooking On A Long Session

A single burner stove and a kettle covers the brews, and a two-ring setup earns its place once you’re doing overnighters and cooking properly. Keep a spare gas canister in the barrow, because they always run out mid-session and always in the rain. Set the stove up on level ground, clear of your bivvy and away from your lines. A decent insulated mug is a small thing that makes a cold three-a.m. brew last a lot longer.
