Keeping Bait Right

A sealed lid is the main thing, both for keeping the rain out and for stopping your bait ending up all over the boot. Air-dry buckets with a mesh lid are well worth it if you’re buying fresh boilies in bulk, since drying them out makes them last much longer and changes how they behave in the water. Clear buckets make life easier when you’ve got three or four different mixes on the go. Give them a proper wash between trips — old particle mix left in a warm car is a smell you won’t forget.
