Dressing For A Day Afloat

A flotation suit is the sensible choice afloat, doing everything a warm waterproof suit does with the buoyancy built in for the day you’d rather not think about. Layer underneath so you can adjust, and get boots with a proper grip for a wet deck. A hat and a spare pair of gloves take up no room and save a day. Bear in mind wind chill on the way out at speed — plenty of people who are warm at the mooring are cold ten minutes later.
